We are looking for a Lead Analytical Scientist to work with our expert Applications team of 20 employees across the world. Do you have a passion for Material and Polymer science? Then we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
Provide technical expertise to support manufacturing process development initiatives and problem-solve for existing products and processes in the area of polymer and material sciences.
Support the development of analytical procedures for characterizing technologies in the bio-process portfolio, with a focus on Cytiva’s filtration product line.
Perform method qualification, validation, and generate relevant reports and protocols for use by Cytiva’s manufacturing and Quality teams.
Support routine sample analysis for internal and external customers and generate relevant reports and presentations.
Act as a technical consultant on analytical analysis for other parts of the organization (e.g. quality control, manufacturing engineering etc.).
Participate in cross-functional teams on new product development and product care problem-solving efforts.
Prepare application notes, reports, publications, and presentations for both internal and external use.
Contribute to the technical growth of the department and serve as a subject matter expert to support the organization.
Actively participate in site EHS program.
Who you are
MS (with 7 or more years) or Ph.D. (5 or more years) in Analytical Chemistry or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other life science field.
Have experience managing projects
Able to work and function in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience performing method qualification, validation, and sample analysis.
Have expertise with one or more of the following HPLC, GPC, GC, FTIR, Raman, particle analysis, SEM, AFM, surface tension, and zeta potential.
Have experience working with and Regulatory and QA functional groups.
Able to be responsive to customer’s requests, and leading projects/activities to meet customer requirements
Outstanding communication and writing skills for working with global manufacturing, marketing and development teams as well as presenting to customers.
