What you’ll do

  • Accountable to achieve quarterly/annual orders and sales targets for the Biacore product range in the assigned territory.

  • Must be able to accurately forecast orders and sales within the applicable sales funnel tools quarter over quarter within their assigned territory.

  • Develop and execute business plans for territory/assigned accounts including, but not limited to, opportunity generation and development, competitive strategies and targets.

  • Build strong business relationships and formulate account strategies to continuously strengthen relationships within the assigned accounts/ territory.

  • Identify & respond to key account technical and departmental decision makers’ needs. Continuously develop a network of key decision makers within the assigned territory.

  • Track and communicate market trends to/from the field, including competitor data, to understand and leverage a sustainable competitive advantage.

  • Maintain up to date, detailed knowledge of their product, market and industry. Be able to present and discuss SPR technology, applications and benefits in terms which are relevant to customers.

  • Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities working with Account Managers, Field Application Scientists and other Sales Specialists to obtain maximum synergy across the business.

  • Continuously update their understanding the customers changing operational issues and challenges.

  • Execute successful product demonstrations, internal and external training, seminars, workshops and promotional activities cooperatively with their Biacore support team.

  • Differentiate assigned product offering during the various stages of the sales process, effectively using Cytiva resources and approved product marketing and product promotion material to actively support the customer through their decision-making process towards a successful outcome for Cytiva.

  • Contribute to One Cytiva account plans, where applicable, at key accounts covered by account managers.

  • Continuously educate and coach cross modality account team members on Biacore product strategy and offerings.

  • Collaborate with and leverage subject matter experts and other resources within the Cytiva channels to build relationships and secure business.

Who you are

  • BS degree in Life/Physical Sciences discipline; MS degree preferred.

  • Working knowledge of the drug discovery and development process

  • Hands on experience selling or laboratory work involving molecular interactions, biophysical characterization and/or bioanalytical techniques.

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful commercial experience with a proven, consistent record of high achievement: Including but not limited to sales, marketing, technical support, field applications support.

  • Practical experience in organizing and executing technical presentation, seminars and product demonstrations.

  • Demonstrated success with a robust digital presence (LinkedIn and Sales Navigator).

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, digital tools, business/finance applications, and CRM-SalesForce.com.

  • Proven effective sales record in previous positions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, plus experience of using these skills to participate in cross-functional teams.

  • Written and verbal English fluency.

  • Must live within and be able to travel within assigned geography.
