What you’ll do
Understand the customer’s manufacturing and operational needs to synthesize a solution or concept(s) of a solution
Driving customer manufacturing infrastructure discussion supporting sales.
Manage (where required) and provide engineering input to feasibility studies, conceptual design and detailed engineering design.
Manage (where required) and provide engineering input to scoping & feasibility studies on projects/customers. Producing and validating engineering estimates for prospective projects. Representing as matter expert required in Business Development activities.
Leading multi-functional projects from customer project understanding, translation of process requirements into facility/bio-manufacturing solutions, which could include working closely with marketing, sales, operations and services teams, while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
Managing the process and generating detailed customer proposals (scoping, budgeting, pricing, execution plans).
Ensuring customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers as required and ensuring the “voice of the customer” is reflected in work processes.
Drive operating mechanisms to ensure behavior consistent with integrity, quality systems
Assessing partnerships/supplier options and managing strategic relationships with engineering companies.
Evaluating capabilities, competencies and processes of Enterprise Solutions’ suppliers.
Assisting in creating strategic plans for in-country/for-country solutions
Creating and leading projects to address gaps between partner supplier assessments and enterprise needs.
Who you are
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
10+ years of experience in equipment, process or facilities engineering
Thorough knowledge of cGMP facility and equipment design requirements
Advanced knowledge of engineering and qualification documentation for cGMP facilities and process and utility equipment
Experience in managing the engineering of facilities projects, including mechanical, electrical/automation and process engineering from project inception through GMP release.
Experience working with engineering support disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Architectural
Experience working with project support disciplines such as Regulatory, Qualification, Validation, Sourcing, etc.
Experience leading design and construction firms, modular suppliers and equipment suppliers on projects
Experience in design and execution of cGMP facilities, process and utility equipment, piping and controls
Experience in construction, commissioning and qualification of cGMP facilities.
Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
Experience in biopharmaceutical process equipment and with single-use technology
Life Sciences product/industry/technical acumen
Innovation – ability to develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
Proven ability to work globally and influence and negotiate internally and with customers
Knowledge of CAD software preferred
