What you’ll do
Perform research to generate analytical data for internal and/or external clients. Responsible for the investigation of new technologies and experimentation advised at the practical application of scientific theories. Assures that programs meet scientific objectives and are aligned with customer needs. Builds relationships with industry/technology key opinion leaders.
Lead the local team of up to 10 biological scientists.
Manage prioritization, individual and team development.
Maintain a safe, compliant, and engaging work environment for the biology team.
Ensure timely delivery of projects, ensuring required quality and scientific rigor.
Manage cross-functional interactions both within R&D and the wider business unit.
Support teams' interactions with external partners and customers.
Who you are
PhD in a Life Science subject, preferred but not essential.
Experienced biological scientist (minimum 6 years post-doctorate or equivalent) with a proven delivery record.
Inclusive and collaborative leader, with practical experience of leading people and/or teams.
Experience of working and managing in a matrixed organization is preferred.
Knowledgeable of cell-based Immunotherapy, preferably having worked in the field.
Understanding of the drug-discovery process, in particular the transfer to manufacture and manufacturing workflows for cellular therapies.
Appreciative of the interdisciplinary skills required to develop tools and technology for Cytiva customers
