We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work with our expert Bioprocess Automation and Digital team of greater than 100 employees across the world. Do you have a passion for Automation? Then we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
Own, maintain and improve the tools and processes to translate customer needs into a clear, concise and accurately estimated proposal. This position will own continuous improvement of the tools to scope, define and cost Cytiva Automation & Digital offerings in support of Cytiva BP customer projects and NPIs (New Product Initiatives).
Own, maintain and continuously improve tools for cost estimation of automation solutions in support of entire Cytiva BioProcess product portfolio.
Lead initiative of alignment for best practice in cost estimation with internal partners.
Educate customers on the design space for standard offerings of the Automation & Digital platforms to support customer need, business goals and future states.
Support the commercial sales team in translating customer needs into the Automation & Digital product offerings and custom projects
Work as a bridge between customers and engineering teams, applying the correct Automation & Digital solution to customers’ requirements
Create and own mechanism for periodic report outs and scorecards related to estimating metrics
Who you are
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
5-10 years’ experience in biopharma, product development, or related field
Strong bioprocess and engineering knowledge
Good understanding of bioprocess equipment
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong project management skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
Experience with commercial automation either as an end user or automation engineer
Team oriented – ability to lead, motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
Proven ability to work globally
Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers
Good understanding of Cytiva bioprocess automation offerings, intended use and process capability
Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of time
