The Field Application Specialist (f/m/d) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics oversees Beckman Coulter Diagnostic´s application support for clinical chemistry (CC), immunochemistry (IC) and Hematology (Hemat). He/she/they work closely with sales and support staff to provide high-level customer support before, during, and after a sale. This position is part of our Commercial Organization in Switzerland and is a field-based Role and fully remote.
You will be a part of the Sales and Service Department and responsible to support the growth and expansion within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on product and report to the Post-Sales Manager Technical Service Dx Systems, Austria & Switzerland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Assess potential application of in vitro diagnostics products (specifically CC/IC and Hemat solutions) to meet customer needs pre and/or post-sales and prepare detailed product specifications
Provide Biochemical (CC/IC & Hemat) application support across multiple customer sites
Coordinate with sales team on pre-sales activities, ranging from product demonstrations, on-site customer needs evaluations, and support in configuring solution offers
Serve as a scientific advisor for customer inquiries in Hemat and CC/IC
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems and serve as a liaison with internal customer support teams as needed
Provide customer training and support and maintain positive customer relations
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the natural sciences, preferably in the life sciences
3 years of demonstrable experience in application support within a diagnostic or laboratory environment
A driven and highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire a winning attitude in colleagues by example
The position is home-based and will require approximately up to 70% travel (3-4 days per week)
Language skills: German and English fluent, French is nice to have
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Background (academic or by vocational) in immunology ore related field in life science
Experience in a technical service organization ideally in the health care business
Experience presenting with high impact complex topics to an audience
