The Quality Assurance Scientist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing quality assurance services to ensure the integrity of products received and released from Quality department, products provided to customers, support business and customer needs, and comply with government regulations, industry and company standards.
This position is part of the Hematology Quality Control department and will be located at the Miami Reagents Manufacturing (MRM) site in Hialeah, FL. The Quality team in MRM believes we are a vital support in the discoveries of the scientific field, diagnosis, and illness prevention by assuring quality of products to improve healthcare.
You will be a part of the Hematology Quality Control department and report to the Quality Control Manager responsible for managing the Hematology and Microbiology Quality Control laboratories. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Review and revise specifications and test methods used within the hematology laboratory to improve accuracy, precision, and efficiency within the laboratory
Perform data review of quality control tests to ensure product specifications are met
Support process and product non-conformances in line with company and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Utilize Statistical Process Controls (SPC) to monitor, aid in Post Market and Complaint Handling Unit (CHU) investigations
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related fields with a 2+ years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
Experience working in a Hematology laboratory and/or with Beckman Coulter hematology instruments
Ability to lift 20 L cubitainers (up to 50 lb) with or without assistance
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Licensed Medical Technologist, specifically in Hematology
