Beckman Coulter is currently looking for aSr.Global Marketing Managerto lead the global marketing team supporting the overall marketing and product positioning for our exciting hematology portfolio. This role will act as a conduit between the global commercial teams and the internal product development and production organization. The global team is a multinational group responsible for leading the commercial readiness and supporting the downstream marketing functions in all the regions where the products are being sold. Essential duties and responsibilities include: * Partner with the different regional leadership teams to scope the market opportunity, identify commercial needs, establish standard work, and support the marketing activities needed to achieve commercial readiness in the region by leading the local teams, global functions and internal supporting groups through detailed launch plans. * Collaborate with the Business Unit leadership team, providing a single point of contact to the entire marketing and commercial organizations worldwide. Facilitate and lead initiatives to drive business goals in selected geographies worldwide. * Develop team members and indirect reports into a cohesive, high performing team while driving best-in-class engagement. Implement situational leadership to obtain impactful results from all team members. Success in this position demands an ability to influence many people who do not report to the incumbent. * Shape / champion new segments and directions by synthesizing & analyzing voice of the customer to understand future directions of technology and future customer needs; evaluate potential new business opportunities and formulate recommendations based on known risks and rewards, determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and channels; market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT); Pricing and Profitability . * Perform detailed analysis of the business area in the region and by country; including business, industry, market share, competitor trends and Win/Loss rates. Partner with the country marketers to identify customer needs and investigate both existing and potential channels and market opportunities in which to sell our existing products. Participate in the development of regional strategic one to two-year plans for the business area. * Inform and adapt global marketing for the regions in collaboration with the country managers for new and existing products. This includes, but is not limited to: 1) Final Go To Market/Marketing Mix Strategy 2) Segmentation Strategy 3) Competitive Response Strategy; 4) Adjacent Market strategy 5) Product/Technology Brand Strategy 6) Price Getting Strategy; 7) Market Dynamics; 8) Consumption Dynamics (customer behavior); 9) Purchase Dynamics (customer behavior). * Provide marketing leadership for the region and countries supported and partner with the Product Management and Sales and Support Teams to drive revenue and ensure an outstanding customer experience. * Support the marketing and sales organizations in the region through appropriate tools, marketing trainings and others. * Provide Marketing leadership and partner with the product development team, and other internal departments in the development of new products or product enhancements that will satisfy customer needs. Develop strong relationships with future customers of products. * Develop strong relationships with future customers of products and partner with Scientific Marketing in identifying Key Opinion Leaders and Industry Expert Panels; as well as help manage Tradeshows, User Groups and/or Advisory Groups. * May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned
* Requires knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in medical technology (preferred), life science, or engineering. MBA preferred. MS/PhD a plus. * Minimum 7 years of commercial experience in clinical diagnostics or laboratory instrumentation, ideally in hematology or flow cytometry including technologies, applications, and markets. * Serve as global knowledge source for best practice sharing, competitive information, product performance specifications, competitive positioning, and collateral library. Enable peer-to-peer sharing of practices and key success factors. * Marketing experience, ideally with a focus on downstream marketing and/or sales. * Incumbent must have excellent communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills. * Cross-functional team leadership experience strongly preferred. * Incumbent must have proven ability to see new business opportunities, set and meet aggressive objectives and develop strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including proven influencing skills. * Flexible, curious and tenacious with a can do positive approach in a challenging business. * Self-starter, able to work independently – strong team player. * Perfect command of English, second language preferred. * Able to travel 30%, including international travel
