The Sr Human Resources Representative / Business Partner will design, implement, and support strategies and programs to enhance the effectiveness of managers and the productivity and engagement of employees within the NACO field service engineering client group. The incumbent will optimize relationships between associate and manager; linking human resources strategies to business objectives, working towards an engaged and effective workforce while ensuring compliance with all labor laws. The Sr. HR Business Partner will consult and advise management on a variety of topics including both organizational and talent management solutions, performance management, associate relations, engagement as well as ensuring proper onboarding and training. This role will have client groups that are 100% field based, which will require at least 50% travel.
Responsibilities: * Partner with NACO HR colleagues and leaders to create and implement HR strategies that align to the vision and strategic objectives of NACO * Execute tactical actions against the strategic plans in any area of HR. * Specific areas of focus: * Develops solid workforce planning and headcount management approaches; inclusive of talent acquisition effectiveness, absence management and sourcing strategies. * Coach and counsel managers on creating engaging and motivating work environments. * Fosters diligent adoption of performance management processes including coaching leaders on tough conversations, co-creating performance improvement plans and ensuring leaders are following through with the annual performance process. * Consults with clients on internal movement decisions; transfers, promotions, job enhancements and ensures decisions are in line with company policy, leveling guides as well as internal equity considerations. * Conduct employee relations investigations and consult with managers and counsel on outcomes and next steps. * Facilitate training and development programs including both leadership and onboarding courses. * Consults with leaders on talent management and organizational design challenges * Utilize change management principles to support leaders and associates going through transitions and changes. * Reports monthly metrics to HR leadership and client leaders, drives to ensure that countermeasures are in place when not hitting targets, and drives/participates in problem solving processes as required to implement counter measures.
* BA/BS with 5-9 years of HR experience with 2 years as a generalist or MA with 3-5 years of experience as a junior business partner or field generalist. Certification a plus. * Experience in supporting a predominantly non-exempt, field based workforce is desired. * Solid skills in: consulting, contracting, mediating, negotiating, coaching. * Solid 2-3 years of experience in employee relations * Experience in recruiting, data analysis/metrics is preferred. * Working knowledge of employment law including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA and Workers Compensation. * Thorough knowledge of the employee life cycle. * Has had experience supporting small to medium scale re-orgs, org alignment, workforce planning efforts in a global structure. * Exposure to and comfort with higher level management interactions. * Must be able to travel 50% domestically. * Position could sit in Brea,CA, Chaska, MN or Miami, FL.
