We are looking for a dedicated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team . The primary responsibility for this position is to support our ongoing development programs for both new and legacy products and establish an outstanding reliability program for the organization.
In this role, there will be the following opportunities:
Implementing new designs and design revisions from Concept to Manufacturing for new and existing in-vitro blood and urine diagnostic instruments. Some of these products are imaging microscopy based.
Leading organizational reliability for new products by defining Design for Reliability within the organization and the core proficiencies involved with the reliability process.
Analyzing preliminary engineering-design concepts to recommend design or test methods for attaining customer-specified operational reliability, using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies: Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering program to achieve customer reliability objectives.
Drafting failure mode and effect analysis sheets or formulates mathematical models, using computer-aided engineering equipment, to identify units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed changes in design.
Advising and collaborating with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations. Reviewing engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in ME, EE, Biomedical Engineering or a related technical subject area with a minimum of 5+ years
Experience in product development including design, manufacturing, reliability and market use of product.
Experience with Designing for Reliability and incorporating those into product.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Track record of communicating detailed reliability plans to senior leadership and other engineering organizations.
In addition, it would be desirable if you also possess the following:
Experience with IVD and/or Life Science instruments and understanding of Product Development Process, Life Cycles Management, and Manufacturing in an FDA regulated environment.
Experience and deep understanding of visible microscopy
Design for manufacturing: Ease of assembly, Cost of Goods, second sourcing.
