The Senior Training Technician will support the HemoCue product line and will be responsible for covering accounts in the Public Health, Blood Bank and Hospital markets. This role will provide training on installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on analyzers from the HemoCue product line. They will train on existing products as well as newly developed products. The trainer must know how to facilitate in a classroom environment. They should be knowledgeable in the curriculum and instructional design for the effective development of training materials. The Trainer will have to maintain course content/integrity and incorporate any changes to the curriculum. Evaluate performance of students in class and insure that students are using our analyzers with proper capillary sampling. Conduct off-site Plasma Low testing within the hospital.
The ideal Trainer will possess excellent technical background and working knowledge on point of care (POC) technologies as well as a good comprehension for their applications in the applied markets.
* BS degree required * Prior experience with Blood Bank, Public Health or Hospital hemoglobin * Experience with eLearning and eLearning software suites * Experience in the Biotech industry or a related service organization that has supported POC products * Strong communication skills verbal and writing * Proficiency in Microsoft (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) * Good presentation and interpersonal skills * Ability to solve a range of straight forward problems with minimal guidance and direction * Analyze possible solutions to problems and use best just judgement when trouble shooting * Understand key business drivers and use to accomplish work * Ability to provide information and guidance to internal and external customers * Ability to translate complex information in clear, simplistic terms * Travel up to 70% Preferred: * Medical Technologist Certification, or MLT and/or CMLA * Experience authoring user guides, training manual and/or training exercises
