The Associate Distribution Technician performs receiving, order picking and shipping functions accurately in a high-volume and fast-paced distribution operation.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments or equipment to meet customer expectations which involve receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control.
Performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize various systems / WMS involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment.
Performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow.
Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned distribution area.
Maintains compliance with relevant local, country and international guidelines.
May have responsibility for fulfillment administration and processes.
Receives and stores product, picks and packs product for shipment, and ships orders to customers to meet customer expectations
Inspect materials for orders verifying accurate quantity, lot number, expiration dates and product part number
Creates and/or ensures appropriate documentation is completed for orders
Reconciles inventory and may perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned
May involve operation of powered industrial equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, and/or reach trucks
Follows work instructions to perform routine task
Identifies and solves routine problems in work area with management team
Assist management team on organizational improvement projects such as lean and quality initiatives
The essential requirements of the job include:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably have prior distribution experience
Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Ability up to lift 50 lbs, using maneuverable tools
Previous fork lift experience, preferred
