This Senior Financial Analyst role will support our Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Business Units. The individual in this position will be the primary Finance Business Partner to our Business Unit leaders and their respective teams. This role will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting. In addition, this person will partner in the preparation of financial models for investment opportunities and prepare ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Major Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual budget and monthly forecasts for the Business Units including headcount, payroll and expense planning

  • Analyze, prepare and present month-end financial results including identification and explanation of variances.

  • Monthly close activities including preparation and recording of accruals for unbilled services, prepaids and monthly reconciliations on balance sheet accounts in Blackline

  • Provide the Business unit with required financial information on revenue, bookings, backlog and ANSPs by customer and region

  • Support Business Unit Product Managers in the preparation of the Product Line Business Plan (PLBP) through financial modeling and profitability analysis for new product development projects

  • Track financial performance of recently launched new products against PLBP targets

  • Provide general accounting and finance support such as invoice coding, researching profitability on products, and supporting the financial justification of Capital investments / requisitions.

  • Support the integration of acquisitions as needed

  • Assist in special projects as required

Specific Requirements

  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance or similar field required; MBA, CMA or CPA a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting with emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis and financial modeling.

  • Excellent communication (both oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills are needed for cross-functional scope of role.

  • Strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) required.

  • Ability to develop financial models in Excel from scratch or streamline existing models to drive more efficient reporting. Experience in developing Power BI reporting is a plus.

  • Previous experience with enterprise performance management report writing (e.g. BPC, Hyperion), Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence a plus.

  • Limited travel may be required
