The Production Operation Supervisor manages the daily manufacturing operations of a product line as measured by meeting SQDIP targets. The incumbent critical success factors will include maintaining a disciplined Daily Management process utilizing our DBS tools (DMP, SW, 5S, PSP, QSB), developing talent & building teams.
This position is an integral part of the instrument manufacturing department and reports to the Diagnostics Value Stream Manager. It is and located in Miami, FL.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Ensures safe processes and actions, sustains proactive hazard identification programs.
Prioritizes production schedules based on product introductions, equipment efficiency, and materials supplies
Mentor & develops hourly associates. Maintain flexible workforce of both regular & temporary employees.
Utilizes sophisticated problem-solving techniques to implement both containment & root cause countermeasures.
Strives for external quality levels of >95% FPY (First Pass Yield). Takes ownership of quality in area by utilizing QSB; including documentation & follow-up, internal quality improvement & scrap reduction.
Act as Kaizen champion for team. Strives for one-piece flow manufacturing.
Manages both direct & indirect costs of the product line.
The essential requirements of the job include:
8+ years’ experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience or a Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience.
Experience working in FDA-controlled production environment using cGMP's.
1-2 years experience managing labor budgets
