Position Summary and Overview
The Senior DBSL is responsible for driving DBS capability and continuous improvement across the Supplier business and global functions. The role is a key partner to the VP DBS, Supplier VP/GM, Supplier L1 and Global Function L1 Leaders to deliver operating and policy deployment results. Ability to link Danaher Business Systems (DBS) current state to CVDs (Core Value Drivers) through a DBS roadmap and lead organizational change that close gaps and build competitive advantage.

Our DBS tools are designed to help us excel in the areas of Growth, Leadership, and Lean, building on a strong foundation of DBS fundamentals (Voice of Customer, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, Problem Solving, and Visual & Daily Management).
Utilising change management skill and partnering with VP DBS and Presidents / GM to deliver Packaging and Color strategy with a focus on the Supplier Business and Global Functions.
Contributes in the creation and execution of the overall Packaging and Color DBS Maturity strategy to drive DBS awareness, adoption, engagement, and associate capability. This includes a keen ability to assess the current state of different Business Units, Regions and departments across the Platform. Will work with L1 teams, DBSLs, and local leadership to build the team and plan to grow DBS capability locally. Success here includes building DBS skill from multiple levels in the organization with evidence of sustainment.
Develop and execute DBS strategy and roadmap to continuously improve processes and results within all areas of the Supplier and Global Functions organization. Leverage a solid understanding of DBS Fundamentals combined with business knowledge to achieve goals.
Collaborate on Supplier Annual Strategic Plan process with the ability to connect-the-dots between the multi-year strategy and DBS execution. Leverage L1 Policy Deployment to craft annual Improvement Priorities. This includes facilitating the ownership, problem/opportunity breakdown, with action plans and metrics to deliver results. Coaches Problem Solving against key PD and KPI misses, building PSP capability and closing process and metric gaps. Supports the Business Units in PD execution.
Lead and develop global Kaizen funnel and DBS Certified Practitioner funnel which closes existing gaps and build future capability. Lead effective sustainment of results and drive problem solving as needed to close gaps to target.
Lead and support in-year DBS execution which will include Supplier L1 Operation Reviews, Policy Deployment, and gemba reviews.
Supports kaizen charter reviews and execution. Quality of the kaizen funnel, preparation and sustainment is critical to success.
Has a visible OpCo plan and roadmap to build DBS Certified Practitioners across the organization’s locations and departments.

Qualifications / Experience
Must be able to lead and influence across levels and departments in multiple geographies. Ability to work up and down the organization in order to drive focus and impact of results. Must think and act strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint. Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
BS or BA Degree in Business or equivalent
10+ years of commercial, sales, product management or marketing experience with demonstrated success leading teams in a global environment
Experience developing and owning strategic plan initiatives and in year execution
Ability to work with functions in the implementation of the DBS roadmap and implement key growth initiatives; successfully drives change, handles conflict / ambiguity
Superior skills in change management, communications, training / adult learning, consulting / influencing; teamwork across disciplines, regions, and cultures
Demonstrated successful experience as DBS Leader or as commercial, or functional leader with extensive DBS experience.
Master’s Degree in Business or equivalent
Fluency in a variety of different languages (e.g., German, Spanish, French, etc) in addition to English.
