The APPLICATION ENGINEER role offers an opportunity to contribute your talents and experience to a dynamic team that works directly with customers. In this role you will train customers in the use of Esko software and solutions with a focus on Esko’s WebCenter and opportunities to diversify across other Esko products.
This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the US or Canada.
Application Engineers are part of a customer-centric team of regional experts looking after a wide variety of customers in North America. By giving the customer the best and most efficient onboarding experience, Application Engineers help Esko build a trusted partnership with the customer whilst helping the customer to get the best value they can from the software.
We are Looking for a Professional Who is:
Excellent Listening Skills – the ability to interpret customer needs based on brief conversations and manage available time and expectations
Excellent Communicator - actively adjust presenting and teaching methodologies based on each customer’s needs
Self-Motivated – can focus their energy and efforts towards achieving success and proactively solving problems, while continuously increasing skillsets through training as well as self-paced study
Technically Well-Grounded – has a grasp of Windows and/or Mac operating systems, Outlook, basic Microsoft Office, and able to learn additional applications as needed
Organized – able to manage multiple calendars and communication methods to attend all necessary meetings and events consistently and punctually
Customer-Oriented - relationship savvy who makes connections with both internal partners and external customers
Willing to travel to customer locations primarily in the USA and Canada between 25% - 75% or as needed
Fluent in English required. Fluent in French or Spanish also desirable
Your Education and/or Background Experience should include:
2+ years’ experience in prepress or packaging, workflow administrator for prepress automation systems, or bachelor’s degree in print/prepress, packaging, workflow management or related disciplines
History of working in a customer facing role
Product Training (workflow building, system configuration, or system administration)
Additional Beneficial Skills:
Understanding of presentation softwares; PowerPoint, Captivia, Microsoft Teams, etc.
