The role of the European Service Business development and Sales Operations Manager is critical to the continued success and profitable growth of the Global Services organization. The EU Services Inside Sales Manager (f/m/d) requires a strong and close partnership to the Regional Field Service Leaders and Business Units, ensuring the respective service portfolio under management delivers point-of-sale (POS) competitiveness and a strong customer lifetime value.
He/ She builds and deploys, with his/her team, the European Services business growth plan and supervises it every month, through a tactical plan leading to strong commercial execution across region. This will be achieved by maintaining accurate sales operations, in terms of forecast accuracy and anticipating potential deviations in the mix of product lines sold. This is critical to our European investment deployment plan to secure we are still on track with our programs and revenue generation
In order to secure the accuracy of our business development targets and forecasts, the European Service Director will give directions to the Service Inside Sales Manager.
This person could be based anywhere in Europe, either home-office based or close to one of Beckman Coulter office.
Service Sales operations management:
Manage budget building activity each year
Lead sales operations forecasts
Provide European service leader and marketing teams with trends on revenue per country and potential risks / opportunities
Work towards global alignment of sales ops
Service Inside Sales Team Leader:
Align Key Performance Indicators, definitions, compensation incentives, and processes
Deploy standard work and DBS practices across Europe regarding sales ops
Empower inside sales representatives to achieve individual targets
Collaborate with Marketing to develop collateral and initiatives to support service contract sales
Support transition of CRM to Salesforce and further develop funnel management processes
Undergraduate Degree in Life Sciences, Business or Engineering - preferred
Prior telemarketing/inside sales or customer service experience in a leadership role is required.
Good understanding of revenue, profit, and margin.
Strong leadership skills, preferably with experience leading international teams.
Previous experience working in SFDC (Salesforce.com) is a plus.
Excellent English communication skills.
Travel availability in Europe (up to 20%)
Strong communication, interpersonal, listening, and intuition for business. Stakeholder leadership skills will be required.
Very good PC skills, Microsoft Office (Excel) skills.
Self-starter that can work independently and take action with a focus on continuous improvement.
Results oriented - able to clearly separate effort from results. Must possess the ability to quickly collect data, identify trends/issues, clearly communicate next steps and enthusiastically follow-up to ensure that opportunities are closed.
Change management ability and capability to keep team results and motivation in sophisticated and transforming environment.
