What you we'll be doing
As Field Service Engineer you are responsible to maintain, install and repair Sciex products at both internal and external customer sites, including strategic accounts.
This position works independently to resolve all assigned customer and technical issues; partners with Sales and Service management to drive customer satisfaction and business objectives; mentors and develops less experienced staff members.
You will be responsible for
Performing high quality installation, repair and maintenance on Mass Spec instruments
Performing preventive maintenance on selected products
Demonstrating and completing all administration duties
Maintaining own tool and parts inventory to ensure adequate supply
Mentoring and training lesser experienced staff members
Maintaining customer satisfaction at strategic accounts
Leading the tracking and completion of district PMs
What skills & experience you'll bring to us
Technical high school degree OR Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering
At least 5 years experience using and/or servicing mass spectrometry, HPLC or related scientific instruments
Expert knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving procedures
Expert knowledge of electrical and electro- mechanical technology
Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols
Fluent in Italian in written and spoken, English at least level B1 in order to attend trainings abroad
Excellent communications skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers
Work independently and as part of team
Travel by vehicle or airplane within assigned geography
