In this role, you will be responsible for representing Cytiva products and services to customers and maintaining relationships within industrial BioPharma/Biotechnology accounts in Italy. A broad knowledge of BioPharma/ Biotechnology market, instruments and consumables used in these organizations will be required in particular for Bioprocess workflows

What you’ll do

  • Growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio in the dedicated account and qualifying new leads to maintain identified business opportunities in order support a balanced sales funnel for future sales.

  • Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, initiating and planning customer visits, organizing customer events (seminars, exhibitions) at all level of the customer organization.

  • Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, but also department heads and CXO level personnel as appropriate.

  • Negotiating master agreements and contracts, including terms and conditions as well as facilitating tender responses to customers from the account, in conjunction with product sales specialists as needed.

  • Growing and developing revenue at expected sales margins, whilst using the breadth of resources available such as different financial models and offerings.

  • Working with all business partners to maximize revenue from the Account for Cytiva products.

  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of the Cytiva value proposition and a high-level knowledge of competitive products and services.

  • Work closely together with Global Strategic account Managers to align strategies and tactics for the account relevant activities.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual achievement of revenue targets by providing accurate forecasting through account activities and opportunities prioritization.

  • Maintaining satisfactory after-sales relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.

  • Communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field experience and requirements.

  • Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive product sales.

Who you are

  • Proven sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation in the Life Science market across a wide portfolio of products and service.

  • Extensive experience in customer facing role(s).

  • Experience of working in a complex technical environment.

  • Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on business need.

  • Strong communication and clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages.

  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process.

  • Proven executive (CX0) relationship building skills in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.

  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization.

  • Proven selling skills including customer presentations, price quoting, closing and growing a sales territory.

  • English mandatory.

  • Valid driving license B.

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree, preferably with Life Science/Biotechnology background.

  • Proven previous Life Science capital equipment and consumable sales experiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a complex, matrix team structure.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales offers.

  • Preferred location in Center Italy area.
