As our new Product Marketing Manager for Oncology (m/f/d) in the EMEA region, you will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategy for your portfolio of products. You will provide support to global marketing for market assessments, product development support and advice, and customer insights. As the subject matter expert for your products and market segments, you will lead projects including the development of marketing plans, product forecasts, and supporting both downstream and upstream marketing activities in EMEA. You will be accountable for driving the demand through campaigns and market support activities and utilize metrics to track impact and ROI.

In this position you will interact tightly with country, sales and marketing managers throughout EMEA, as well supporting distributors in the region. You will work in close collaboration with team members from both the EMEA Segment Marketing and EMEA Digital Marketing Operations teams, as well as counterparts from other regional marketing organizations in the Americas and APAC.

This position is a remote position within EMEA region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing action plans for EMEA for the portfolio

  • Participate and lead in the product launch project teams

  • Participate in forecasting/planning projects, collaborate with marketing counterparts in the U.S as well as inventory and demand planning and logistics/customer services

  • Drive market assessment of EMEA market for the portfolio

  • Provide support, tools and training to the country and distribution teams

  • Work closely with the Global Marketing team on the product portfolio

  • Train new sales hires, local marketing managers and distributor teams on products from both a clinical utility, positioning, and technical aspect

  • Help identify KOL's throughout the region and help to cultivate those relationships to build a strong network in the region

  • Drive publications in collaboration with Medical Affairs teams on the portfolio and GeneXpert technology ensuring we are well represented at congresses and in peer reviewed journals

  • Provide regular updates on competition and Cepheid market penetration (analysis of proficiency panels, KPI) and competitive trends

  • Be an integral part of our transformative marketing strategy and digital approach for the portfolio

  • Accountability for qualified lead generation

  • Represent EMEA Marketing on Launch Excellence core teams through to product launch

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key medical organizations

  • Monitor global and regional market trends and opportunities

Experience, qualifications, skills required:

  • Scientific background with Life Sciences with Oncology focus

  • Several years of professional experience in marketing or commercial roles in Healthcare or Pharmaceutical Industries; regional marketing experience is also desirable

  • Prior marketing experience in molecular diagnostics and markets will be important, IVD Marketing (preferred)

  • Strong track record of success creating demand for new, premium products

  • Prior product launch experience and prior product development experience is preferred

  • Experience in sales would be a strong plus

  • Experience with digital approaches to marketing would be beneficial

  • Strong market analytics skills and business case modelling is required

  • Ability to translate science into marketing messages

  • Ability to translate strategies into actions and tactical plans required

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver complex information into a simplified manner for the audience to understand

  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to multi-task across a broad number of products and disease states

  • Tactical thinking and in depth understanding of the current market environment is a requirement

  • Good knowledge in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is desired as well as SFDC

  • Effective when working in cross functional, geographically dispersed teams

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, scientific journals, technical procedures, package inserts, and regulatory regulations.

  • A creative problem solver

  • Enthusiasm, strong interpersonal and motivational skills

  • Understanding of region-wide cultural differences and approaches

  • Requires 30-50% travel.

  • Fluent in English and other languages are an advantage
