You will be a part of the Reagent R&D Biostatistics Team and report to the Senior Manager of Biostatistics responsible for statistical analysis and data management for in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) research and development. *Please note, this position will require onsite work at our Chaska, MN location once pandemic restrictions are lifted.
In this role, you will have the following opportunities, but are not limited to:
Design, plan, and execute biostatistical analysis for research and development projects that establish the conditions essential for determining safety, efficacy, and marketability of IVD products.
Perform statistical analysis and prepare summaries of analytical data for use by regulatory agencies or project teams in order to evaluate the performance of new and improved immunoassay and clinical chemistry products.
Develop and validate automated data analysis reports.
Stay current on changes, innovations, and trends in statistics, medicine, and industry best practice through networking, studying publications, and/or presentations.
Collaborate with multiple functions across geographies.
Provide training and support to scientists and engineers in statistical techniques and software tools.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD. Graduate degree in Statistics or Biostatistics preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with R software
Willingness and ability to learn new techniques and applications.
Specific expertise in variance components estimation, regression analysis, repeated measures analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and sample size calculation.
It would be a plus if you also possess:
Experience with bootstrap and Monte Carlo simulation techniques
Additional knowledge of JMP, SAS, Minitab, Excel software packages or relational database experience including SQL.
