The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is accountable for Instrument Manufacturing Quality Assurance.

This position is an integral part of the Instrument Quality team in Chaska, MN and is a hybrid role, on-site and remote work. Our vision is to advance healthcare for every person.

You will be a part of the Instrument Quality team and report to the Manager, Quality Assurance Science responsible for Instrument Quality. If you thrive in a role that prioritizes teamwork and collaboration and want to work to build a world-class medical device —read on!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide Quality Assurance Support for Instrument manufacturing of medical devices.

  • Work to reduce defects on the manufacturing process.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to identify, contain and disposition non-conforming product.

  • Complete risk assessments for product escapes as needed.

  • Assist with Manufacturing work instruction updates and implementation.

  • Ensure compliance to design change procedures, corporate policies, and global regulations (FDA QSR, ISO, etc.)

  • Make decisions/provide mentorship to prevent deviations or non-conformance.

  • Establish and drive daily management actions for quality processes that support corporate initiatives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline with 5+ years’ experience or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline with 3+ years’ experience or Doctoral degree in an Engineering discipline with 0-2 years’ experience

  • Experience in the medical device industry

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working in Quality Assurance

  • Quality Engineering Certification
