In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and/or participate in the planning and execution of studies/investigations for the development, characterization and optimization of immunoassays and key immunoreagents in collaboration with diverse groups within R&D and cross-functionally.
Accountable for creation, review and approval of experimental designs, protocols, plans, procedures, product/process document, and reports to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities will include technical leadership, trouble shooting and extensive data analysis within R&D; leading by example in following all policies and procedures; implement improvement and corrective measures where needed.
Coach/mentor scientists in divers areas of expertise as needed
Leads/facilitates technical and/or strategic discussions and decision making across functions
Communicates optimally across functions and manages relationships with internal and external partners and customers. Leads by example in driving collaboration, encouraging teamwork, and motivating and recognizing the team. Removes obstacles to teamwork and collaboration.
B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry or related scientific field with 9+ years of relevant experience; M.S. with 7+ years of relevant experience; PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience
Required demonstrated IVD product and/or process knowledge. Hands-on experience in the following fields is required: immunoassay design and development; experience with analytical characterization of immunoreagents; experience with automated IVD platforms is preferred.
Relevant experience in clinical, research or diagnostic setting with knowledge of immunoassay performance evaluation, validation is expected.
Knowledge of laboratory automation, system software, Microsoft applications, and laboratory statistics is essential.
Highly skilled in conducting research, data interpretation, and writing reports
Proficient int risk management concepts
Demonstrated technical know-how and understanding of assay and reagent development, characterization and verification.
Demonstrated team leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across different cultures.
Strong organization capabilities with attention to details
Ability to work in a fast pace environment and maintain timelines for multiple projects
