POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Operations Senior Manager position supervises the A TEAM OF Sales Operations and Contract and Pricing Specialists in daily activities of business in support of the commercial team. The supervisor sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors and decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan. They will receive guidance and oversight from manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management - Manage day-to-day responsibilities for a team of Sales Operations Specialists; this includes hiring, training and setting individual and team goals. - Conduct bi-weekly 1:1s and team meetings to ensure the team understands the goals of the organization. - Bring the team together on a quarterly basis to review metrics best practices and discuss any changes to the business that impact the team. - Recruit and participate in the hiring process of additional team member as needed to support the organization. - Strong focus on team culture & improvements to employee engagement scores. - Define, document and train Sales Operations Specialists on processes and procedures for Contract Administration and Quoting. - Drive towards faster turn-around times while also ensuring high level of accuracy and compliance. - Design and review critical Sales Operations KPIs to drive change across the broader organization. - Translate day-to-day business practices into actionable information for Sales & Marketing leadership. - Become Subject Matter Expert on Cepheid contracts and marketing promotions to ensure eligibility & requirements are sustained; educate team and field on offerings such that customers will be compliant. - Administer and provide direction for multiple complex projects through positive collaboration such as demand generation, new product introduction launches, product promotion campaigns, corporate system enhancements, business development opportunities, funnel management, SOX audits and corporate process changes. - Constant coordination with sales leadership to ensure effective training and processes are communicated to internal teams and remote field sales team members. - Present at Regional & National Sales meetings and Sales New Hire summits to provide training on corporate process and business practice policies to ensure the US Sales & Marketing teams are working efficiently and effectively.- Understanding of finance, billing and legal processes as it relates to contracting. - Ability to resolve fast-paced issues/challenges. - Work with Director, Business Operations to help design optimal structure for Business Operations. - Oversee development of greater analytics capabilities through Salesforce Einstein Analytics, in order to deliver additional functionality to Sales and Marketing. - Provide additional general leadership for Business Operations, driving cultural changes and overall changes to business processes. Development and Maintenance - Develop, implement and maintain an effective report analysis strategy that will provide senior leadership with the appropriate information to determine required resources to support the Field Sales growth and changes. - Report monthly to senior leaders to ensure the strategy of the metrics being pulled continues to match the strategy of the business. - Audit the data that is compiled by the team and ensure that it is accurate and meets the needs of the internal stakeholders. - Pull ad-hoc reports for teams and management as required. - Manage and analyze highly confidential information including headcount data.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

  • For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience (in years): - Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in sales operations or finance. - Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in sales operations or finance.

  • Bilingual in French and English Knowledge and skills: - 5-10 years experience performing data analysis and managing a team. - 5-10 years in a comparable position using CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce.com and SAP. - Previous experience with financial planning and analysis. - Previous experience working with confidential information. - Previous management or team lead experience. - Comfortable presenting to executive level management and groups of 20+ persons. - Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. - Able to work well in fast paced and ambiguous environment, with changing priorities. - Must have intermediate/advanced computer skills with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Physical requirements/abilities: - Ability to work in an office environment. Other: - Ability to travel domestically up to 15% of time. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (optional): - Subject matter expert in ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and Salesforce.com. - Advanced in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio. - Experience with VBA for Excel
