We are looking for a talented, organized marketer that enjoys executing top-notch outbound marketing campaigns and coordinating tradeshow logistics to join the Molecular Devices marketing team. Working with marketing managers, product managers, and field sales, you will own tradeshow logistics and implement key marketing initiatives from email campaigns to digital programs to support lead generation efforts. This is a work from home opportunity with occasional need to go into the San Jose office.
Serve as main point of contact for trade show vendors. Coordinate logistics for tradeshows including managing budget, ordering show services, shipping, and show events, such as tutorials.
Manage off-site fulfillment house to ship booth properties to/from various tradeshows
Work with marketing managers to create and execute pre-, during, and post-show advertising including booth loops, banner ads, sponsorships, email blasts, and social media.
Travel to trade shows to manage booth logistics including installation, dismantling, collateral, etc.
Review and report on trade show and marketing metrics such as traffic to booth, and leads generated to determine success of trade show.
Work with Corporate Communications Manager to assist in execution of internal and external communications efforts. Create and distribute internal and external newsletters.
Support day-to-day planning and execution of tradeshow related email marketing and online advertising
Coordinate design and layout of tradeshow related collateral, advertisements, and materials with graphic designer.
Proofread various tradeshow related collateral pieces to ensure accuracy and overall quality
Closely monitor and review tradeshow campaign effectiveness for continued improvement and optimization
Use lead generation tools and analytics to monitor and manage tradeshow marketing campaigns
Work with sales distribution manager to support distribution channel marketing including vendor shows and marketing efforts
Work with field marketing to collaborate on special projects as assigned
Skills and Specifications
Efficiently work under pressure and deadlines to complete assigned tasks
Metric-driven, with the ability to analyze available data to help drive decision making
Extremely organized with the ability to effectively communicate action items and deadlines
Comfortable with managing budget for trade show and advertising expenditures
Should be comfortable with marketing tech stack to create and track campaign tactics and analytics
Respond to changes in process or assignments quickly without losing sight of the overall goal
Comfortable with interacting with cross-functional teams of all levels, and reporting out on key metrics
Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
Excellent written and communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn new skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently within guidelines
2+ years of experience in a marketing role, with an emphasis in tradeshow logistics
Excellent written and verbal skills in English; expert knowledge of spelling and grammar
Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred working knowledge of a marketing automation tool (Pardot, Marketo, Act-On, HubSpot, etc.)
Preferred working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
Life Science industry experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Estimate 25% - 30% annual travel
This role will reside in San Jose, CA (currently hybrid) and work closely with our marketing, sales, and applications teams
