We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our talented and collaborative Global IT Team. You will have a strong customer focus and be motivated to promptly resolve IT requests of customers across the Asia-Pacific region. You will be responsible for providing helpdesk support and maintaining a variety of IT hardware, software, workstations, LAN, phones, and conferencing systems. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, take ownership, have a sense of urgency, have sound problem-solving skills, and see tasks through to completion.
Providing IT support to customers across the Asia-Pacific region
Responding to customer tickets: triaging, prioritization, tracking, troubleshooting, and resolving in a timely manner
Administration of Active Directory
Ordering, configuring, and installation of new workstations and associated equipment
Troubleshooting and resolving IT systems and network related issues
Installation and support for SOE and general business applications
Installation and support for business-specific engineering applications
Ensuring that updates and patches are regularly applied to all workstations and associated systems
Deploying, provisioning, relocating, and decommissioning office phones
Maintaining a neat and tidy environment
Effective communication with team members and associates
Actively reporting to management: Progress, problems, and risks
A commitment to and proactively following all policies, including but not limited to: EHS, human resources, quality assurance, and compliance
Other duties as directed
There are no regular travel requirements, but domestic/international travel may be required at times for specialized training, outages, or support.
Selection CriteriaEssential :
Graduate or post-graduate qualifications (or equivalent) in a relevant field – e.g. Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience, supporting IT systems in a corporate environment
Knowledge of Active Directory, MS Windows, MS Teams, Office 365, PowerBI, Adobe products, SAP, and other desktop applications
Experienced with network fundamentals and associated technologies
A strong customer focus, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
Effective problem-solving skills and critical thinking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
An understanding of remote access solutions (VPN)
Experience with: SCCM, Linux, Azure/AWS, SQL, PABX, VoIP
A demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and process automation
ITIL concepts & best practices
Environment and application monitoring
Knowledge of software development and regulated environments (e.g. medical, financial, etc)
