The Role

A Portfolio Solutions team is being assembled to define and broker solution architectures that will deliver enhanced customer experiences through seamless interoperability.

The Principal Systems Analyst has responsibility for capturing and analysing business needs and requirements that will realize interoperability across our product portfolio. Working with our Product Management and world-wide R&D teams these solutions will deliver an enhanced customer experience and support us in meeting our Vision24 goal.

Reporting to the Senior Director, your key responsibilities will include, and not limited to:

  • Working with stakeholders and in-house customers identify and detail the business needs and requirements across such areas as serviceability, integration, workflow, and reporting.

  • Act as the domain authority and subject matter expert for Interoperability solutions.

  • Own and maintain the Interoperability feature and requirements backlog.

  • Contribute towards and help drive best practice and process improvements that contribute to an enhanced customer experience.

  • Own and direct elements of product safety and security risk management.

  • Work with the Enterprise Solution Architect and Solution/Software Architects to develop an architectural roadmap that delivers on the Interoperability goals.

  • Provide oversight and sign-off on Interoperability system analysis deliverables.

To be successful in this opportunity, a prior experience in the following criteria would be required:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related Engineering, or Scientific field.

  • A minimum of 10 years systems analysis experience.

  • Wealth of experience working across the Software Development Lifecycle.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the elicitation of requirement through such activities as brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation, or interviews and confirm or report on results.

  • Use modelling tools and methods to succinctly express requirements so they can be interpreted with minimal ambiguity. Demonstrate experience in business and functional analysis, process mapping and writing requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases and functional specifications.

  • A strong problem solver experienced in analysing requirements and building business models.

  • Contribute and work in a geographically diverse, cross-function team while ensuring specific responsibilities are achieved.

  • Experience in cybersecurity requirements (highly preferred).

  • An outstanding communicator with ability to effectively collaborate, contribute and persuade at all levels.

  • Where there is ambiguity and disagreement be able to effectively negotiate outcomes minimizing potential project delays.

  • A proactive, flexible, and agile approach with the ability to balance needs in the wake of challenging business demands.

  • Highly organized with ability to prioritise quickly and focus on critical few. Not afraid to question “why” and seek innovative solutions to problems. Able to address difficulties or resistance among team members to enable them to overcome roadblocks.

  • A motivated professional with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Highly Desirable Behavioural Competencies:

  • Working in a company involved in product delivery.

  • Working in a lean development environment.

  • Developing system in a regulated environment e.g. medical device development.
