Leica Biosystems is a Danaher company and is a global leader in workflow solutions and automation for anatomical pathology (histology) to aid cancer diagnosis.

The Role

The Senior Test Analyst will undertake verification activities to ensure the software and device under test satisfies the applicable user needs, quality and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include, and not limited to:

  • Review and Analysis of Functional and Non-Functional Requirements

  • Sign-off, Author and Review of Test Cases and Procedures

  • Author Test Plans and Test Reports for small to medium projects

  • Execution of Test Cases / Procedures and sign-off of result

  • Document and Review Defects reports

  • Provide test technique expertise to small or medium sized test projects.

  • Provide accurate estimates of detailed level project related verification activities

  • Mentor Test Analysts in their responsibilities

  • Manage Test Environments

  • Lead teams of 1-5 testers in small to medium verification activities

  • Provide domain support consultancy to other business units within the LBS group

  • Reporting Structure:

Day to Day project reporting to the Project Manager and or Test Lead/Verification Manager

Non-project items to the Verification & Validation Manager

To be successful in this opportunity, a prior experience in the following criteria would be required:

  • Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in computer science or engineering. Alternatively, equivalent experience in related field.

  • A Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in software testing.

  • ISTQB foundation certification or equivalent

  • Experience in the application of test processes and methods (e.g. V-Model)

  • Experience with the following technologies:

  • Experience in use of HP Quality Centre / ALM

  • MS Windows OS environment.

  • Development of SQL scripts and undertaking basic to intermediate database administration activities.

  • Management of defects and change using systems such as JIRA.

  • Embedded and/or Firmware testing

  • Experience in application of test process through software development life cycles.

  • Scripting experience using automation tools e.g. Selenium, Rest API, etc.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Highly Desirable capabilities:

  • ISTQB Advanced/Technical Test Analyst or equivalent
