Provide strategic leadership and test expertise for the verification effort required by a programme or a capability within the Research and Development group.
Implement Programme level Test Plans and Strategies to satisfy the quality and regulatory requirements of Leica Biosystems products. Work closely with the Programme Managers in supporting the test effort. Direct the Test Teams in meeting their project goals and objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include, and not limited to:
Define and maintain the verification and validation methods and approaches to be adopted in the development and/or maintenance for a program within LBS.
Direct and authorise verification and validation approaches on all projects within a program.
Recruitment of skilled verification associates in line with program and business needs with a focus to establish and team capable of high performance.
Performance assessment of verification associates in line with Danaher performance appraisal process.
Professional development of verification associates in order to meet the requirements of the program and LBS objectives and engagement.
Allocation of suitably qualified and trained verification associates within the program in line with business priorities.
Continuously improve verification processes and procedures in line with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and direct Test Leads and Test Analysts in line with business/project objectives
Provide detailed effort estimates for programme and project related verification activities.
Organize and facilitate system verification deliverable reviews
Ensure compliance is maintained with applicable regulatory requirements.
Standard of professionalism and cleanliness in verification areas.
To be successful in this opportunity, a prior experience in the following criteria would be required:
Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in Information Technology, computer science or Engineering. Alternatively, equivalent experience in related field.
A Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in software testing.
Of which a minimum of 5+ years experience in directing and leading a team of Testers including Test leads with the ability to motivate and inspire team to achieve objectives.
Manage teams of 8-15 testers in verification activities
Manage test environments
Ability to work with Project Managers and Programme Managers to establish Test Strategy and Test Plan for a program of work.
ISTQB foundation certification or equivalent.
Experience in the application of test processes and methods throughout the testing lifecycle.
Experience with the following technologies:
Experience in use of HP Quality Centre
MS Windows OS environment.
Establishment of automated testing framework or Automated Test Jigs.
Management of defects and change using systems such as JIRA.
A solid understanding of the software development life cycle or product development lifecycle.
Highly developed documentation, communication and presentation skills.
Experience in the implementation and use of test automation frameworks and tools e.g. Postman, Telerik, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), API, Rest, etc.
Previous experience in a Regulated (eg. FDA) or Biomedical domain
Experience in the testing of embedded software/firmware.
