Danaher Corporation Workflow & Integration Commercial Product Manager in Mount Waverley, Australia

With our growing innovation, we are seeking a Commercial Product Manager (Workflow and Device Integration) to join our talented and collaborative team on a full-time basis. Responsible for setting winning strategies and product visions that underpin high impact global commercial product launches, on-going portfolio growth, vitality and sustainment of Leica’s Connectivity and Workflow product lines within the Clinical and Life Science Anatomic Pathology sectors including:

  • Process and Specimen Workflow: CEREBRO Sample Tracking & Workflow Management product portfolio

  • Case Workflow: LIS integration product portfolio

About the role:

This role is responsible to create and drive a vision to deliver sophisticated software solutions that are extremely easy-to-use whilst providing clear benefits to empower customers to perform their jobs more effectively whilst improving productivity, compliance and patient safety. Working with a cross-functional team, the Commercial Product Manager will be responsible for developing and translating the overall LIS interoperability, workflow and connectivity strategy into action, help to develop and sustain the product portfolio roadmap driving customer adoption, create a clearly differentiated competitive advantage, and accelerate revenue growth across our target markets.

You will be responsible for but are not limited to

  • Own and articulate the product visions for CEREBRO, LIS products anchored around strong value propositions and differentiation that will drive customer adoption.

  • Act as the LBS relationship authority in LIS vendor collaborations such as co-marketing agreements and/or ‘plug and play’ interfaces.

  • Lead the formulation of the LBS workflow solution commercialisation models, particularly in the context of stand-alone and bundled products

  • Own and co-ordinate Voice of Customer (VOC), financial/pricing analysis of the product portfolio

  • Drive stakeholder engagement across the organisation to clearly articulate the strategic vision and delivery of the product portfolio, ensuring organisational alignment to the unified LBS direction of the portfolio

  • Collaborate with Global Marketing to:

  • Drive the portfolio growth initiatives to meet revenue achievement commitments

  • Create innovative ways to speak to our channels, ensuring high standard support materials, campaigns and digital assets are created.

  • Work in partnership with the Technical Product Manager to:

  • Prioritise scope to project delivery teams

  • Make scope decisions through trade-off studies/analysis and voice/context of customer/business/technical/project.

  • Contribute to project priority decisions and roadmap determination

  • Define and evolve the LBS interface specification in line with LBS and industry needs

  • Work with the Technical Product Manager to provide project delivery teams:

  • Backlog and scope prioritisation (with input from product managers)

  • Review of product requirements & objectives

  • Acceptance of their work

  • Domain/subject matter expertise (commensurate with experience)

  • Act as the Commercial Product Management owner on project(s), identifying and managing tasks

  • As required, contribute to product regulatory strategy in alignment with RAQA, product management, PMO and other stakeholders.

A successful candidate will possess:

  • At a minimum, a tertiary qualification in IT, engineering or science discipline

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product management

  • Proven track record in developing, commercialising and meeting revenue commitments with software products in business-to-business markets

  • Exemplary influence, communication, coalition building, and change management skills (preferably demonstrating experience as a Change Management Primary Sponsor).

  • Ability to build, manage and sustain relationships with and between stakeholders.

  • Ability to function in ambiguity with minimal supervision, high levels of initiative and self-motivation.

  • Ability to direct, motivate, mentor and facilitate teams - both local and remote-based - to deliver business, product and customer outcomes.

  • Understanding of software / product development life cycle.

  • Uses sound judgement and iterative, flexible and pragmatic approaches to enable rapid delivery, balanced within strategic big picture thinking.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate and solve problems and concepts and make disciplined decisions based on available information

  • Ability to work in a global context with willingness for international travel (some) to visit/work with customers and sales/support teams

  • Experience in establishing customer user groups, customer and business needs gathering, and requirements workshops. Able to represent customer situations and scenarios to teams.

  • Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative Voice of Customer and product pricing methods

  • LEAN / Six Sigma experience preferred

  • Medical device or healthcare experience preferred

  • Pathology informatics and/or Healthcare system interoperability experience preferred
