Role- Commercial Operations Manager

Purpose of Position

  • Owns the strategic planning and execution of the Commercial Operations engine for Molecular Devices India and South Asia.

  • Responsible for enabling revenue growth aligned with regional business priorities defined in Start

  • Plan and Commercial Growth Bridges by setting in place/optimizing commercial activities (like Supply Chain, Coordination for Imports and Documentation, Training and Development of Sales team, Reporting and Analytics, Order Management, Quotes and Bidding process and Lead Qualification process) and continually optimizing them for impact and effectiveness. Should have experience in handling the GeM system for procurement and bidding.

Key Responsibility – Managing Commercial Operations

  • Define, manage and continuously improve Commercial Operations: Deliver results/metris including regular reporting of performance versus plan, Visual and Daily Management for improvement as necessary.

  • Lead Sales Enablement functions in the region: Work with Sales leadership team to create a sales enablement processes such as training, development, sales force effectiveness to grow sales in the region by 2X in the 3 years.

  • Strengthen the Order to Cash Cycle: Continually strives to develop centers of excellence to optimize the current Order to Cash (OTC) Cycle for the business with strong focus on quotes and bid process.

  • Work closely with Channel partners to ensure all processes are followed and there is a strict adherence to timelines for reports and documentation. Work closely to ensure AR is being followed up.

  • Making sure the processes with the Channel partner and the team are set up in order to have a seamless process – pre sales and post sales.

  • Should have knowledge of documentation required for import processes, Banking and Letter of Credit imports in the region.

  • Strategic Analytics: Use data from Sales Force.Com(SFDC), Oracle, financial reports and other sources to provide insights and recommendations to the General Manager for prioritized actions to improve profitability.

  • Drive continuous backend process improvement and its Kaizen

  • Ad-hoc work when required.

Relationships-

  • Internal: Molecular Devices India and South Asia team , Field Sales, Inside Sales, Sales Support, Marketing, Finance, SCM etc. Other OPCos teams in the region. JAPAC Molecular Devices teams.

  • External: Customers, local authorities, Distributors, Contractors, End users etc.

Background and Skills-

  • B.A. or B.S. degree required, particularly Business Administration is preferable or equivalent major/education.

  • Worked for a business process oriented Multinational Companies

  • 6-8 + years of experience in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer market is desired.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office. Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Acrobat. Experience in SFDC (salesforce) or equivalent CRMs and Data Anaytics is preferred.

  • Market segmentation, research and strategic skills
