Sales Analyst and DBS lead - METAI region

Under this role you will be responsible broadly two key responsibilities.

As a DBSL to work to provide support to the Commercial function in METAI, and functional leaders through coaching, training and project leadership to enable process improvements and sustainment of stronger results through use of DBS tools, analytics, and improved commercial performance reporting. The DBSL is with support from the Global DBSL responsible for training, coaching, and facilitating DBS tool mastery, kaizen activities, and best practices.

As part of the Analyst function in Sales Operations team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining sales analytics reporting, forecasts, and dashboards to provide actionable insights that support decision-making for the sales and leadership teams. Working directly with sales leaders and sales operations colleagues, you will develop and manage projects, monitor and analyze sales trends, support PSP’s, provide SFDC administration support. We are looking for a data driven individual with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement mindset, while driving key business objectives. You will be curious by nature, excited about collaborating daily with a highly skilled cross-functional team to develop analysis and reporting capabilities, and to find challenging, meaningful opportunities for business process improvements.

Responsibilities:

DBS Lead:

In this role you will locally support the Global Kaizen Funnel and PSP management process by entering and maintaining status of DBS activities. You will also coach/partner with regional Leaders to develop charters, recommend tools, guide the kaizen leaders and facilitate or lead events through all stages, inclusive of prework and sustainment and be an local expert in Problem solving ensuring regional capabilities and execution.

In cooperation with the global DBSL provide training for Bec LS METAI/SWA associates to ensure regional capabilities for the identified tools that enable business and functional leaders to drive results.

Work with regional leadership to establish key metrics and ensure processes are in place to enable sustainment of results from the use of the processes and tools.

Build foundational daily management processes and analytics. Provide training, establish process, expectations and deploy into the region to establish rigor around daily management to maximize growth, revenue and operating profit.

Collaborate on sales effectiveness priorities and initiatives to ensure the commercial engine/system is producing the greatest results for the region.

Collaborate on process improvement priorities and initiatives to ensure that the regional commercial and functional teams are producing the greatest results for the business.

Analytical projects:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to turn business problems into analytical projects--perform analytical deep-dives to identify problems, opportunities and actions required; provide ad-hoc reporting as needed to aid in problem solving, trend- and predictive-analysis

  • Support data mining and analysis for ad-hoc projects by developing or leveraging existing dashboards and data visualization concepts

  • Support the design and maintenance of data and business intelligence applications and platforms that are internally created by through integration of various reporting components from multiple data sources and that transform large, complex data into meaningful insights

  • Identify opportunities to develop forecasts, predictive and statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses

Performance reporting and analytics:

  • Build visual analytic capability (repeatable processes and reporting packages) and tools for the sales organization, enabling data-driven decision making

  • Work with large and complex data management software (Excel, Power BI, Domo, SQL Server) and databases to develop and maintain standardized operational reports and dashboards to monitor overall region / territory health, data integrity, and other key objectives and KPIs

  • Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary

Project development and implementation:

  • Collaborate with sales leaders to identify new or enhanced functionality, processes, or technology within the SFDC platform

  • Proactively identify project needs, develop project plans and manage project / plans through completion

  • Lead the development, improvement and implementation of key sales operations processes and systems

Requirements

  • MBA in a relevant field (business, finance, computer science, or comparable analytical / data-focused field)

  • 4-5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology or pharmaceutical organization

  • Experience of driving commercial excellence/Continuous improvement projects in a commercial environment

  • Understanding of sales and business process

  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (such as SQL Server, Power BI, Domo, Tableau)

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage large quantities of data and must be comfortable with CRM and other sales efficiency technologies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Collaborative and assertive behavior skills for working with various stake holders

  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team, with international experience being positive Conscientious of the sensitive nature of information with an excellent attention to detail in reporting and analysis

  • Demonstrated strategic planning and analytical skills to produce reports and presentations with complete and coherent analysis and sound recommendations

  • Process oriented with focus on sustainment with strong influencing skills and experience in getting things done through others

  • Proficient ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously and prioritization and delegation of tasks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple functions and levels
