About This Role

This position is responsible for driving the entire gamut of marketing activities for SCIEX across India. The incumbent will be expected to define, develop and deliver all aspects of the marketing strategy and brand development for the Indian business.

Core Responsibilities

Maximize demand generation by managing all aspects of integrated marketing communication for India.

  • Define and execute marketing communications to improve brand awareness & preference by managing conferences, web and interactive communication, media and public relations

  • Lead and manage the planning and execution of product launches, marketing initiatives and promotional activities

  • Formulate strategy for Indian advertising, publications, collateral, events and marketing programs by working closely with Sales, Service and Application Support teams.

  • Establish, monitor and utilize tracking mechanisms and campaign metrics and analytics in order to maximize marketing effectiveness, campaign performance and drive continuous improvement of marketing initiatives and return on marketing investment

  • Plan and manage assigned marketing budget

  • Maintain and develop marketing infrastructure

  • Ensure a consistent brand strategy in line with global brand strategies and guidelines

Maintain and develop market and customer segmentation models for key SCIEX market verticals with a clear understanding of customer needs, competitive positioning and market growth dynamics.

  • Conduct internal and external market research, in-depth market analysis, VOC studies and gather competitive intelligence to better understand market trends, dynamics and key opportunities

  • Define go-to-market strategies for key market verticals, including target customers/segment definition, product and competitive positioning and overall sales and marketing strategy

  • Translate global marketing campaigns & new product positioning into compelling marketing communications and competitive selling strategies

  • Develop and implement strategies and action plans that will generate growth for various customer segments leading to increases in market share

Drive sales force effectiveness and ensure sales force readiness

  • Establish and use KPI and dashboards to drive sales force productivity and short and long term funnel health

  • Champion the strategy for managing interactions with customers and sales prospects by driving use, adoption and compliance of CRM tool and ensure the system is used to its full potential

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Basic qualification in Chemistry & Post-graduation in Management

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a B2B environment in Lifesciences or related industry with atleast 3+ years in people management.

  • Clear thinker with experience in product positioning, market sizing, segmentation and analysis

  • Demonstrated ability in planning, execution and metrics-based analysis of marketing programs

  • Exposure to business dealing in sales of high value capital equipment is desirable

  • Exposure to digital marketing will be an added advantage

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral); Strong presentation skills

  • Experience and ability to build relationships, influence people; good negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Good command over the English Language

  • Proficiency in MS-Office; proficiency in SFDC
