Role - Service Sales Manager

Location - Delhi or Mumbai

The primary responsibility of this position includes the sale of Leica Aftermarket Products that may include but are not limited to Services, Service Contracts, Software and Consumables within designated accounts, driving revenue and order growth in an assigned territory by following up on existing customers, new customer acquisition, cross-selling to existing customers, and working with distribution channels for increased sales.

The focus is on consultative selling. This position reports to the Service Head - India.

Your Responsibilities -

  • Negotiate complex contracts, sales deals and create strategies to meet the sales plan.

  • Requires knowledge and experience of sales principles, methods, prospecting techniques to strengthen the network and improve the sales cycle.

  • Demonstrate capability to identify business dealings/situations (risks & opportunities) to support business growth in a given sales territory.

  • Has developed an expanded understanding of the sales process, different sales markets and has an expanded understanding of our aftermarket product portfolio in a specific Medical/Industrial/scientific area, to achieve sales results.

  • Has considerable understanding of our competitive landscape to compete in the market and achieve sales.

  • Has strong communication skills and the ability to communicate our value proposition to customers, based on changing customer needs.

  • Own and drive new aftermarket product introductions within territory.

  • Understand customer organizations by market vertical, department, function, and key programs.

  • Master the basic features and benefits of the entire Leica aftermarket portfolio.

  • Identify the key decision makers, influencers and establish new business opportunities.

  • Increase Aftermarket Sales by promoting campaigns, digital marketing, sales organization activities, and customer inquiries.

  • Works closely with the Aftermarket Team for Transactional/ Outbound Sales to optimize effectiveness of the Leica Sales process for Aftermarket products and services

  • Understands how to manage dialogue, explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

  • Exercises judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to achieve more complex sales results.

Additional Requirements: Travel required/Valid Passport/Valid Driver's License:

  • Travel within assigned geography, up to 30% overnight travel may be required.

  • Meeting Vendor Credentialing requirements are an essential element of this position.

  • Understanding of Life Science, Industry and Medical products and instrumentation and our markets preferred.

  • Impacts the effectiveness of own team and closely related teams

  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Products.

  • Previous experience with Sales Force system preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills, time management and ability to compile and present data.

  • Collaborate with other functional and business leaders to ensure Voice of the Customer is heard in strategic planning at the global, regional, product and business unit levels.

  • Partner closely with colleagues in field sales and field service to develop and implement successful account strategies.

Our Expectations Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, engineering or equivalent education

  • Completion of additional courses in sales or marketing are desirable

  • 5 years of successful experience in direct sales or Service Sales is recommended.
