Job Title: Sr Credit and Collection Executive
Purpose of the position:
The incumbent monitors overall collection and oversee the procedures to reduce the amount of unpaid debt the company incurs. You will also be responsible for collection of payments from customer for West region and write-off debt to minimize the company’s potential loss of income.
To be a successful collections manager, you should be analytical and have excellent report writing skills. An outstanding accounts receivable manager should be able to ensure that customers pay their accounts on time to effectively strengthen the company’s financial position.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs collections of delinquent accounts by contacting customers via phone, email, & fax.
Resolves issues with incorrect billing amounts and purchase orders.
Evaluating customers using accounts receivable information for daily and monthly reports to management
Visit customer place for important collections
Prepares monthly reports for all zones analyzing collection results and status of customers as on month end
Perform regular, routine financial assessments on existing customers
Making decisions to place customers on credit hold and release them based on resolution of the item
Maintain the integrity of customer accounts on the Accounts Receivable Aging
Forecast cash collection and report to management on AR status
Management and resolution of customer disputes and queries
Reduction of past due receivables
Reconciling customer account as needed
Processing adjustments for write-off's for approval upon research
Assisting in audit support as needed
Maintaining and coordinating efforts with internal personnel to resolve customer issues
Maintain customer credit hold status for past due accounts
Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit.
Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit.
Our Expectations
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
8–10 year’s experience as a collections manager.
Experience with General Ledger and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
The ability to work accurately and independently.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail.
Outstanding leadership and managerial skills.
Ability to work to strict deadlines.
