Do you want to act as member of a local and global Finance Organization and collaborate with several regions and business functions? As Senior Financial Analyst, you will support the Business Unit Finance Lead in all activities of financial budgeting, forecasting and analysis for the Workflow & IT Solutions Business Unit of Beckman Coulter!
This role, located in Munich, supports implementing and maintaining plans to achieve financial objectives. You will provide accurate and timely financial information and analysis and drive financial analysis of major business unit activities. This includes supporting revenue, margin and expense analysis and helping to identify countermeasures to mitigate any shortfalls.
Analyze deviations from forecasts and prior periods to provide accurate explanations for variances and support the Finance Director in resolving countermeasures.
Identify and analyze drivers and trends for Business Unit Revenue, Operating Profit & Working Capital as well as trends for Product Line profitability.
Build financial models in Excel to support evaluation of tactical and strategic options and to improve decision making process.
Support various ad hoc projects, which include profitability analyses of Business Unit initiatives and new products, strategic investments, risk management projects, M&A, capital investments, and other efforts to continuously enhance the existing processes and support key business activities.
Contribute actively to improve planning, forecasting and reporting processes of the global Finance Teams using standard methodologies.
Other miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Controlling is required. MBA is a plus.
Experience with Financial Planning, Analysis and Modeling is essential.
5-7 years progressive finance/controlling experience in a fast-paced international environment.
Must be comfortable of interacting with senior management.
Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills in English and German.
Confirmed MS-Excel skills required with good proficiency of Business Intelligence tools (Oracle/SAP).
Good proficiency in MS-Office applications.
Energetic, with good sense of team-spirit.
Strong problem solver and ability to tackle new projects and responsibilities with minimal mentorship.
Proactive and focused.
