Danaher Corporation Direct Sourcing Lead in Muskegon, Michigan

What you’ll do:

  • The Sourcing Leader is assigned a portfolio of chemicals suppliers and has the responsibility to set up the supply base for the Muskegon site, qualify suppliers, develop, communicate and execute sourcing strategies, both short and long term in conjunction with the sourcing team and supplier quality teams

  • Managing end to end complex sourcing deals including supplier negotiations. Executing strategies to extract efficiencies including supply-side savings and managing demand-side consumption to lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the specified spend portfolio by taking ownership of the agreed and defined priorities as outlined in sourcing scope and proactively drive each to conclusion with little or no instruction

  • Participate in sourcing for new product development and product sustainment projects

  • Deliver strong level performance on sourcing KPIs across DS Resin organization – including Cost, Quality, Delivery, Security of Supply, Sustainability and Service. Highlighting operational, regulatory, and other risks and taking ownership for sourcing issues and actively participating in their resolution

  • Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business. Work collaboratively and proactively to set up and drive cross functional working group as necessary, develop plans, execute, and sustain progress after conclusion of agreed actions. Master the working knowledge of DBS Fundamentals and utilize the Danaher business system tools efficiently

    Who you are:

  • Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in chemistry/ Pharmaceutical/ Biotech/ Engineering discipline, or a Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in business administration (or equivalent knowledge/experience)

  • Strong work experience with technical depth/knowledge in assigned commodities, or strong techno Commercial Sourcing, Supply Chain experience coupled with strong understanding of holistic end-to-end supply chain from both operations, business and sustainability perspective. Pharmaceutical, lifescience, Biotech, IVD sourcing experience preferred

  • Ability to approach problems systematically, develop scalable solutions, execute it and deliver on commitments together with strong stakeholder management and program management skills

  • Demonstrated experience to effectively communicate cross functionally within all levels of the organization at the same time, strategic planner and thinker with ability to support change across organizations

  • Demonstrated ability to support, acknowledge, develop, communicate and implement a strategy to ensure compliance coupled with demonstrated collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. This role will have both local and international travel as needed
