What you’ll do

  • Prepare and review performance and functional requirements, risk management, procedures and other associated project related documents.

  • Ensure Design Output meets the goals set by User Requirement Specifications and System Requirement Specifications.

  • Be part of installing, validating, and qualifying new equipment and the startup of a new chemical processes.

  • Hands-on work related to Chemical Processes and defining parameters for the equipment and recipes to meet quality goals.

  • Apply analytical and quantitative problem-solving methods for chemical processes systems.

  • Facilitate manufacturing and project reviews through preparation of but not limited to Process Maps, FMEA, and Risk-Mitigation Plans.

  • Identify and implement chemical process improvements to provide plant capacity upgrades, scrap reduction, and production efficiency improvements.

  • Develop and assist in process and product monitoring making sure we are manufacturing same quality over time.

  • Work side by side with the engineering team on improvement projects when related to the chemical process.

  • Identify, analyze, and drive process issues to resolution.

  • Deviation management and change control management.

  • Work closely with the engineering team in Uppsala Sweden.

Who you are

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering degree with 5 or more years of working experience within chemical process manufacturing or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in chemical operations an advantage.

  • Prior project experience within the chemical process field desired.

  • Experience in executing equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ) and DOEs.

  • Knowledge of automation systems.

  • Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis related to chemical processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with capability to communicate technical information in the context of manufacturing technology and chemical processes.
