Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead the achievement of daily, monthly, and yearly operational objectives for defined areas of responsibility within a Value Stream in the SenDx’s New Brighton, MN site. This position will have direct responsibility for the production operations on all shifts, within a fast paced, high growth environment. This position is responsible for daily results in-line with established yearly improvement goals in the critical KPI areas of Safety, Quality (internal & external), Delivery, Inventory Accuracy, and Productivity for the Value Stream(s) of responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves yearly Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity targets through effective and efficient Daily Management and Bowler/KPI execution leadership.

  • Effective and efficient Problem Solving using the formalized Danaher Problem Solving Process.

  • Builds a Winning Team. Performs supervisory activities including recruitment and selection, training and development, coaching and administering performance and compensation review process for direct reports. Also makes recommendations for direct labor staffing requirements in accordance with capacity models for current and future KPI success.

  • Promotes and leads the utilization of DBS tools & lean concepts to improve manufacturability, productivity, yields, cost, process variation and customer quality. Prioritize focus on reducing process variation, establishing and ensuring adherence to Stand Work and Work Instructions.

    · Supports overtime reduction/management goals by working closely with the VS Leads on OT reduction plans

  • Develops and implements manufacturing procedures and methods to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, Canadian Medical Regulations, and QA/QC medical, state and local regulatory agencies.

  • Takes the lead in developing well-functioning cross-departmental relationships for the achievement of the business’s prioritized objectives.

  • Drives the year-over-year improvement in employee engagement survey results within areas of responsibility. Ensure proper communication for full-company alignment.

  • Administers company policies and procedures knowledgeably, including but not limited to the attendance and “time clocking” policies. Ensures timely, consistent, and accurate tracking of Attendance Policy “points” and adherence to Attendance Policy disciplinary procedures.

  • Leads the performance management and merit planning & execution process for employees of responsibility.

  • Within areas of responsibility, direct/lead the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness. Continually upgrade, direct, comply with, and enforce Company safety programs and policies.

  • Supports implementation of Operations Strategy deployment.

  • Responsible for cross-training plan development, execution, communication, and matrix updating.

  • Manages the new-hire on-boarding process.

  • Supports VS Leads in Cycle Count discrepancy root cause investigation and countermeasure development.

REQUIREMENTS

Competencies

  • Prior “front line” manufacturing production supervision experience, required.

  • Prior experience being the owner of S.M.A.R.T. performance metrics requiring plan development and plan execution, required.

  • Prior effective visual daily management and demonstrated process improvement experience, required

  • Prior experience with utilizing lean methodology and tools to improve operations and / or overall business processes, highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in building winning teams through Top grading, development/coaching, organization planning, etc., highly preferred. Ability to set and hold others to high performance expectations, required.

Education

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required, bachelor’s degree preferred.

Travel

  • Up to 10% may be required including international travel

Language

  • Must be able to read, write and fluently communicate in English

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General physical requirements: Requires lifting up to 25 pounds

Visual acuity requirements: Administrative tasks

Motion and sensory requirements: Walking, talking, hearing, medium manual dexterity

Physical working conditions: Working environment is in a controlled manufacturing environment
