Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Phenomenex is hiring! We are seeking a technical, highly analytical individual with a background in Life Sciences to be an Inside Sales Representative!

POSITION SUMMARY:Provide advanced service and technical support to customers utilizing the web & internet chat mediums.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate & respond to internet chats via web interface by providing product support & technical information with regards to separation science related products and services

  • Ensure that assigned chats meet sales, gross profit, and unit goals

  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers via chat interface

  • Develop business plans, market analysis and sales strategies for sales chat modes of communication

  • Consistently maintain a positive attitude, be a team player and strive to learn and contribute to company culture

  • Complete assigned learning plan

  • Manage and maintain information in customer relationship management database

  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by customers and/or management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree in a Life Science discipline (Chemistry, Biology, etc) required

  • Requires analytical thinking and presenting ideas

  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Database Management

  • Extremely skilled in the art of negotiation

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

  • At least two (2) years of experience in Sales preferred

  • Good working knowledge of the chromatography consumables market and various industry customers preferred
