The Buyer Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Buyers.
Monitor receiving, return to vendors, and invoice hold reports & resolve them in a timely manner
Expedite purchased parts as required
Monitor and review supplier performance and assist in development plans to ensure continuous improvement of Palls’ supplier base
Review and update Material Master and Purchasing Information Record to keep the system up to date
Provide the Planning team with data
Maintain documentation of government purchasing folders for compliance with CPSR
Identify any issues, roadblocks or risks and communicate them to the appropriate personnel
Work on reducing material and process lead times
Hold the vendor accountable to commitments and develop expectations for continuously improving performance (i.e. inventory, delivery, price, lead time, packaging, return to vendor quality issues)
Assist with invoice issues/goods receipts to ensure vendor payment
Follow-up with suppliers on PO (Purchase Orders) confirmations and late to dock PO’s
New vendor set up
Other tasks as assigned
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
Must be computer literate and have experience using MS Office Products (Word, Excel)
Experience and knowledge using an MRP system, preferred
APICS, CPIM and/or ISM certification(s), preferred
Negotiation with vendors and Kanban experience, preferred
Work overtime as assigned
Ability to demonstrate highly effective communication (verbal and written) skills
Adherence to all quality procedures and Pall Corporation policies
Participate in the continual improvement through the use of Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools
Have the ability to work across departments, levels, functions, and vendors
Strong teamwork and relationship building skills
Purchasing procedures and work instructions shall be followed at all times
Strong organizational skills and ability to keep track of multiple priorities simultaneously
Respect the confidentiality of Pall and its Supplier relationships
Accept the challenge and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work at the computer for prolonged periods of time
Frequently twist, bend, and climb stairs
Able to lift 30 lbs.
