Pall Corporation is seeking a Buyer for the New Port Richey location. The Buyer will purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met. Negotiate price, ensure adherence to quality standards and ensure on time delivery of material to ensure continuity of supply chain.
Buyer will lead, implement, and assist in the development of procurement strategies. Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. Anticipate, negotiate, and execute deliveries on time. Ensures continuous supply of materials and communicate any supply problems which may propose a risk or impact to the business operations. Understand and follow all purchasing procedures that follow Government subcontracting spend responsibilities in accordance to contractual obligations. Build and maintain documentation of required government information and purchasing folders for compliance to Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) Audit, internal and external. Plan and work to the benefit of stakeholders to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO); through the use of Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools. (ie Kaizen, Kanban, Inventory Management at Gemba (IMAG), JIT, etc.) Develop, implement, and handle supplier relationships. Research and evaluate cost reduction opportunities and supply chain improvements. Prepare request for quote (RFQ) of products and services based on Pall requirements and system analysis. Negotiate product characteristics (ie. Lead time, price, etc.) across multiple vendors simultaneously. Conduct capacity analysis of vendor supply. Supervise and review product usage patterns to mitigate supply chain risks. Lead or collaborate across departments during supplier on-boarding and product development. Maintain current accurate records and files of all vendor agreements and related procurement records. Reconcile invoice issues and assist with goods receipt to ensure vendor payment.
Must have a High School Diploma or the equivalent (i.e. GED). Bachelor degree in a related field is an asset.
Minimum of 1 year of experience managing relevant commodities is required
Certification(s) in APICS, CPIM and/or ISM is an asset.
Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience within the Aerospace industry or related industries.
Experience in negotiating and purchasing material at $50,000 and above
Experience in inventory management of $250,000 and above
Experience in handling inventory spend of $1 million and above
Experience in SKU management of 250 and above.
Experience in handling a minimum of 20 suppliers.
Comprehensive understanding of products and categories of products.
Broad-based knowledge of products, applications, and manufacturing practices.
Minimum of 1 year of negotiation experience.
Minimum of 1 year of Kanban and Lean experience.
Knowledge and use of price and cost analysis.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
