The CNC Machinist position for Pall Aeropower Corporation is responsible for performing complex set-up and operation of multi-axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
This Second Shift (3 pm-11:30 pm) position is part of the Machine Shop and will be located in New Port Richey, FL. Our mission is to solve our customers' biggest filtration, separation, and purification challenges. And, in doing so, advance health, safety, and environmentally responsible technologies.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform complex set-up and operation of multi-axis CNC Mills and/or Lathes and p erform first piece and in-process inspection using precision measuring tools (i.e. gauges and automated CMMs) and blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
Assist in the selection of tools, holding fixtures, and methods for producing machined parts and effectively perform secondary operations (i.e. operation and setup on simple machines or processes including drill press, stamping press, deburring, etc.).
Read and understand all types of drawings required for machine parts such as castings, forgings, and detailed engineering sketches.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High School diploma or GED.
Completed Trade School Apprenticeship program (machining) or 3+ years of CNC machining set-up experience.
Solid understanding of shop math (i.e. algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Running up to 9-axis machining.
Interpreting tool and part drawings including but not limited to geometrical tolerancing and manually calculated dimensions.
Reading and interpreting CNC programs to recognize and make changes to rectify excessive tool wear and minor program oversights.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
