The second shift Manual Machinist II is responsible for performing manual machining on aerospace parts.

This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Machine Shop and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, and overtime is routine. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work with complex castings and forgings as well as machine parts from bar stock. Deburr parts during machining operations. Read and understand all types of drawings required to machine parts such as castings, forgings, and detailed engineering sketches. Selects proper holding devices, chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc.

• Work to close tolerances and inspect all work with various types of inspection equipment (hand gauges, micrometers, calipers, height gauge, functional gauges, optical comparator aka shadow graph) to ensure acceptable quality and productivity. Indicate machine axis, fixtures, tooling, and components as required to meet given tolerances.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose machine process issues. Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and three (3) years of Manual Machining work experience.

• Good working knowledge of shop math and reading machine drawings (i.e. blueprints). Functional knowledge of general dimensioning and tolerancing. Understand, follow and effectively communicate verbal and written instructions.

• Ability to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals. Daily lifting up to 35 pounds. Lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to stand for long time periods (8 hours or more). Frequently twist and bend.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Aerospace manual machining.
