The Senior Engineering Manager reports to the Director of Engineering, Liquid Product Line and is responsible for leading the design engineering functions, including product and proposal support to customers, new product development, and sustaining support for the full product life cycle. The Senior Engineering Manager is accountable for engineering quality, on time delivery, and talent management for the design engineers within the global product line.

The global liquid product line exists to: Enable Pall to remain the market leader in providing competitive state-of-the-art filtration solutions by delivering differentiated, high-quality, compliant designs which are easily manufacturable and rapidly deployed to the market, whilst facilitating career growth and development.

This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Technology Team and will be located in New Port Richey, Florida.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide direction to the global liquid design team and ensure compliance to the organization’s New Product Introduction/ New Product Development process, and other operating procedures and processes ensuring high quality right first-time outputs. (Locations: Design Facilities at New Port Richey, Florida).

  • Develop comprehensive work assignments in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Work collaboratively with other functions within the Liquid Product Line, wider Technology team and Pall Aerospace business to achieve on time delivery of projects, inquiries and other time sensitive deliverables.

  • Ensure robust processes and standard work are in place using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools. Prioritize work, resource allocation, and budget forecasts, focusing on increasing engineering efficiency.

  • Support strategy alignment and capability to win the spec and grow the aftermarket.

  • Responsible for ensuring talent development, skills matrices, employee engagement, succession plans, training, and resource plans are in place and create a strong culture of innovation and learning within the Design team.

  • Provide technical product support through entire program life-cycle.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent technical field with minimum 10 years’ technical experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of technical supervisory experience.

  • Experience with applying lean product development tools (e.g., Danaher Business System) in the engineering environment.

  • Experience managing a highly technical engineering team (e.g., design, analysis, air worthiness) and compliance (e.g., REACH, Trade, Disposal) in a highly regulated industry.

  • Experience managing the compliance to Aerospace Airworthiness procedures or similar highly regulated critical procedures.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Understanding of Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools and how and when they should be applied.

  • Developing a staffing plan that meets the design authority requirements and allocates resources appropriately.
