The opportunity

The Sales Engineer connects customer organizations with the whole of Pall. The incumbent professionalise the client relationship, guides and advises a team of sales specialists, builds values for the customer by utilizing the resources of Pall and therefore achieves competitive differentiation and profitable growth for Pall. This role ensures sales and operations remains aligned and working to the goals of the Fluid Technologies & Asset Protection (FTAP) business

Essential job functions

  • Develop and implement customer account plans designed to achieve order, revenue, and margin projections and implement total fluid management solutions across nominated territory in the assigned Region, Market and Accounts

  • Provide Sales & Strategy Leadership for Specific Focus Accounts

  • Lead as an ambassador, strategist, and negotiator for clients across NSW Goldfields area

  • Build and develop the account at all levels and drive sales of new products and various applications

  • Coordinate and leverage resources to present “One face to the customer” to provide complete customer satisfaction

  • Develop and lead formulations of sales strategy and execute to the highest standards

  • Negotiate pricing adjustments and implement pricing strategies across the nominated territory

  • Maintain General and Project Specific communication with colleagues across the ANZ sales team

  • Maintain a Funnel of Opportunities in CRM

  • Maintain Appropriate Database Including CRM, RFQ Alert, Sites/ Plant List, Project/Quote Tracking and others as advised by the business

  • Create and Deploy New Product and Application Sales Tools, Including Success Stories, Customer Presentations, Installation Lists, return on investment Calculations and Sample Proposals

  • Provide Technical and Commercial Direction to customers in the nominated territory

  • Provide Business Analysis Including Trend Data, Customer Retention and Development and other activities as required

  • Monitor Competitive Activity at Existing Customer and Direct Field Sales Personnel to Account

  • Create and Maintain Customer Account Plan and SWOT analysis for assigned Accounts Including Sales Potential, Operating Structure, Sites, Contacts, and other Information as required by the business

  • Interface with Sales Management and Services Team to ensure Pall capture aftermarket and Pall Service Based offerings

  • Cultivate Relationship with Senior Management and Decision Makers in the assigned Accounts

  • Draw on available resources as needed to achieve Regional, Market, Product or Account Specific Objectives

  • Build long term relationship with customer within the nominated region

  • Implement and maintain Strategic Account Plans and Opportunity Plans when required

Key requirements

  • Location: New South Wales, Goldfields. You need to be based around Dubbo, Wellington, Orange, Parkes, Bathurst area. (Central West NSW)

  • Proven experience in mechanical, tools, mining, or other heavy industry related sales, both key account management, and winning new businesses.

  • Business management acumen, ability to understand a customer’s business and priorities

  • CRM Experience (SAP, Sales Force, Oracle etc.), comfortable to work in a company with established processes, sales critical metric, targets & standard work.

  • Degree or diploma in mechanical/chemical engineering or a technical degree is highly regarded

  • Autonomous & self-starter individual, comfortable to work 90% remotely
