The Advanced Technical Customer Support Associate (Remote Solutions/IoT) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing technical and administrative support for globally deployed Internet of Things (IoT) Remote Management Systems (RMS) to enable the services organization to effectively and efficiently resolve customer challenges. The incumbent will collaborate with multiple functions globally including local service organizations, product line business units, product technical support, IT, training, customer service, legal, regulatory and others while maintaining full compliance in a highly regulated In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) environment.

This position is part of the Global Remote Solutions Support group and will be fully remote (U.S. based). At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Global Remote Solutions Support and report to the Sr. Manager responsible for global remote support solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Make improvements to existing processes to reduce, automate or eliminate non-value-added tasks.

  • Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory and compliance standards.

  • Manage the access to the RMS Enterprise Application. Review, approve and enable user access requests to the user interface as well as back-end database. Review relevant training records and audit for policy compliance.

  • Manage the process of enrolling instruments to the RMS. Review customer demographic information for instruments to ensure accuracy of location, model serial number, etc. to properly complete the enrollment process.

  • Manage the hardware related to connectivity. Ensure hardware is received from suppliers with the proper information and documentation. Coordinate removal of IoT connectivity related hardware when customers are disconnected from the RMS.

  • Responsibility for the accuracy of the installed base and all reporting as it relates to connected instrumentation.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience in systems administration, Internet of Things (IoT) technology or other enterprise application support including cloud based Software applications

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Data reporting, manipulation, process automation, analytics and/or visualization tools (Advanced MS Excel, Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI, Oracle SQL, Python, R, Tableau)

  • Experience driving Continuous Improvement Methodologies to solve problems, improve processes and drive business results with problem solving tools such as Lean-Six Sigma, Kaizen, Visual/Daily Management and others

  • Prior experience in a service and support role within the Life Sciences or IVD market

  • Excellent oral and written English language presentation & communications skills including effective utilization of MS Office and virtual collaboration tools such as MS Teams
