The USCAN GenMed Commercial Zone Leader for Cytiva is responsible for leading the USCAN team of Account Managers, developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships in assigned Zone/ geography. Provides strategic leadership and direction to Genomic Medicine Account Managers, Cell Therapy/ Viral Vector/ Nucleic Acid Workflow Development Leaders and Product Sales Specialists (eg. Oligo) to meet / exceed annual sales and order budgets and ensure sustained growth and profitability.

This position is part of the GenMed USCAN Commercial team located in continental US and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Lead your team to meet or exceed regional sales and order targets assigned by OpCo management via direct sales activities with customers.

  • Drive partnership with Genomic Medicine Account Management teams, Field Application Scientists and other OpCos to identify opportunities and to drive Design-In of Cytiva Cell Therapy products specified in customers’ early-stage drug development process.

  • Through your critical insight on customer needs, support your team to formulate strategies to develop and support solutions that meet or exceed customers’ needs and expectations and simultaneously expand Cytiva’s business by gaining market share in existing and new accounts.

  • Understand and identify accounts strategic vision, objectives and needs while positioning Cytiva products and services as a total solution where business opportunities exist.

  • Lead funnel reviews and ensure reporting of all business opportunities, solution concepts, and strategies to OpCo management through a CRM; and provide voice of customer (VOC) and applications feedback to product development teams.

  • As a People Leader you will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching and development of your team.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Engineering, Science or related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of sales management experience

  • At least 5 years of sales experience selling consultative complex services or solutions to biopharma industry.

  • Prior knowledge of Genomic Medicine, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, process development, and GMP.

  • Able to show experience in influencing/leading cross-functional teams around customer growth 

  • Proven ability to hire, develop, manage and retain leading sales professionals.

  • Solid track record of sales team exceeding targets and building and maintaining long-term customer relationships at all levels in an organization.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – Up to 50% within assigned region, including some international travel for training, conferences, trade shows and seminars

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Funnel Management

  • Experience using Salesforce

    The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $106-160K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
