Danaher Corporation Connectivity and Informatics Solutions Executive in New York, New York
The Connectivity and Informatics Solutions Executive will operate from a high level, broad-scale systemic healthcare collaborative to build the successful sale and on time implementation of connectivity and informatic solutions for customers. The Connectivity and Informatics Solutions Executive will partner with internal stakeholders and sales teams to assist with Health System and customer projects/deals. The Connectivity and Informatics Solutions Executive will work with customers to position connectivity and informatic approaches to the GeneXpert® systems that optimize both technical integration and clinical lab and point of care diagnostics workflow. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Field Applications, Clinical Solutions, Vendor Partners, and Sales Training to support the field teams with ongoing connectivity and informatics training, account strategy, and business case development in order to achieve optimized, on time integration of Cepheid products into customer’s existing healthcare IT systems and adoption of informatics product solutions.
Essential job responsibilities:
Ensure that connectivity and informatics solutions help accelerate overall company growth strategies through their effective sales and on time implementation
Support the sales team through facilitating effective product demonstrations and discussions. This includes preparing and presenting business case justifications demonstrating the clinical value of the connectivity and informatics solutions to both the laboratory and to the healthcare system
Documentation of team activity into SFDC to optimize efficiency, ensure collaboration and collect and drive key performance metrics
Ensures proper positioning of GeneXpert system, software and connectivity and informatics solutions
Develops Customer Team of Champions inside and outside the Laboratory (e.g. Infection Prevention, Pharmacy, nursing, Emergency Department, Information Technology and C-Suite)
Participates in strategic planning for the business providing a detailed understanding of market directions and dynamics for the product and its applications
Collaborate with Global Marketing to identify unmet customer needs and identify new solution opportunities through a structured VOC process
Serves as key consultant for input and interpretation of issues that impact product performance, sales, quality, cost or reliability. Has primary responsibility for working with appropriate groups to resolve these issues as needed
Understanding of clinical environment, competitor products – continuous development of knowledge
Assists in development and execution of product strategy and product launches
Support commercial marketing organization with launch and rollout of new products and services as needed
Participate in industry symposia, key conferences, and meetings
Participate in commercial activities with non-clinical stakeholders
Monitoring the industry landscape
Facilitates Customer User Group Meetings and VIP Visits
Assists in the training and development of the commercial team to facilitate their understanding of the implementation, adoption, and integration of the connectivity and informatics solutions to the customer
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education or Experience (in years):
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR
Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR
Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years of work experience
Knowledge and skills:
Exhibits professional demeanor
Comfortable working in a corporate setting populated with large groups of diverse people
An ability to interface at a highly technical level with assurance and confidence
Working knowledge of the healthcare information technology landscape, clinical workflows and laboratory testing interoperability
Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, POCT01A, LOINC, SNOMED
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals and objectives
Strong computer skills (Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
Strong interpersonal skills to connect with customer base and build relationships
High level of energy, engagement and responsibility
Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement and laboratory optimization
Presents technical information in a concise manner and appropriately responds to questions from employees, executives, executive management, vendors, or customers.
Ability to work independently, Multi-task several simultaneous projects, and manage time/priorities
Ability to adapt and react to dynamic and changing circumstances in the market
Able to work as a member of a multifunctional team, strong interpersonal communication, organizational skills and planning ability
Able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Strong presentation skills
Physical requirements/abilities:
- 50-70% travel is required
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (optional):
Previous healthcare connectivity and informatics experience
Knowledge of epidemiologic and disease related surveillance
Knowledge of clinical diagnostic market
Experience in regulated environment
Previous experience interacting with stakeholder such as: Laboratory management, supervisors, IT Administration, LIS vendors, 3rd party middleware companies, contractors and facilities.
Successful experience preparing and presenting business case justifications demonstrating quality impact and economic opportunities
