The Danaher Business Systems Leader- (DBSL)- (Quality, Regulatory, Clinical) is responsible for utilizing the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive process and product quality improvements and rapid, effective mitigation of problems/issues. This position will report to the Vice President of Quality, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs and provide guidance and support to the QRC leadership team across both the Diagnostic and Life Sciences Platforms.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with global quality and regulatory leaders across multiple Operating Companies (Opcos) to drive installation and sustainment of results using DBS tools and processes

  • Improve functional efficiency, productivity and growth, incorporating standard methodologies for the QRC function.

  • Define and Drive Standard work across Opcos as we define Best-in-class practices

  • Provide mentoring and guidance in the implementation of DBS processes and tools to other DBSLs and Business Leaders.

  • Be the Center of knowledge for QRC best practices and share across the corporation.

  • Monitor and assess current QRC performance to identify and assess opportunities for performance and process improvements.

  • Proactively lead root cause/countermeasure resolution of issues.

  • Lead cross-functional, cross-regional teams effectively and drive results.

  • Drive ever-improving results by demonstrating DBS tools, consulting skills, and organizational change.

  • Support Danaher Diagnostics LLC and Diagnostic Opcos in developing and achieving objectives

  • Ensure high DBS penetration through productive kaizen events and flawless integration to Daily Management (DM)

  • Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching. Evolve and apply tools as appropriate to drive results.

  • Facilitate training and Kaizens as appropriate and track and report sustainment of QRC kaizens.

  • Strengthen DBS maturity across the QRC organization by ensuring annual DBS plan deployment, training and mentoring Certified practitioners. Partner with Site/functional DBSL as appropriate

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and 14+ years of experience or MS degree and 12+ years of experience in Business, Quality, Regulatory or Clinical

  • Prior DBS experience preferred

  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and with a broad system level view

  • Ability to utilize a variety of DBS tools including PSP, VSM, TPI and VPM

  • Outstanding communications and training skills

  • Superior consulting/influencing skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management

    Travel Requirements

  • 30% domestic and international travel required
